Use a pre-spend checklist
- Write down the current world and the failure your loadout must solve.
- Open the live chest panel and confirm its price, pool, rarity display, and any pity or duplicate text.
- Keep enough keys for the next known upgrade or unlock shown in the client.
- Set a maximum spend before opening the first chest.
- Stop when a result fills the named gap or the resource floor is reached.
Evaluate every result
- New role: test it against the baseline before replacing a proven weapon.
- Duplicate: verify the current conversion or upgrade rule instead of assuming value.
- Higher rarity: compare actual role fit and upgrade readiness, not color alone.
- No improvement: record the spend and avoid moving the stop line mid-session.
